[arrl-odv:19239] Re:RE: Board minutes

I don't know why the link in the news story is broken, but the information I sent to ODV on Thursday afternoon is correct. Monday morning we'll fix the link. That's not found intuitively. I wonder how many others will find that path; and, why doesn't our high-priced Google Search feature point to the correct link? Typing the exact title from the URL you found " Minutes: 2010 Second Meeting of the ARRL Board of Directors" <http://www.arrl.org/files/file/About%20ARRL/Board%20Meetings/2010%20July%20BOD%20minutes%20FINAL.pdf> , into the search box, does not take you there, but instead to another dead-end result. Remember that indexing of a web site doesn't necessarily happen immediately, sometimes it takes a few days. Also, you can think things out too far. If you had typed "2010 minutes" into the search field it would have found them. (also, no need to type "arrl" on the ARRL web site...) -- Tom PS: I agree that having a broken link in a news story isn't so good! ===== e-mail: k1ki@arrl.org ARRL New England Division Director http://www.arrl.org/ Tom Frenaye, K1KI, P O Box J, West Suffield CT 06093 Phone: 860-668-5444
