[arrl-odv:33654] Problem With ARRL.net Forwarding

There is a problem with ARRL.net forwarding. I’m getting a number of emails about this. Can we get a status update? There is no status update, per se’ We struggle with downstream post offices along the way all the time marking us as spam creators given what is being aliased through arrl.net. With the one example Dick provided we are having an in-depth conversation with the vendor to see what the deal is with this particular account. Jim will also broaden the discussion to other potential error causes such as server timeouts and non-deliverable messages which again are sourced at the server level. Frankly, arrl.net is a remarkable time sink for this organization that shows very little benefit compared to what its original intent was. And when it was created, there was little to no anti-spam engines on mail servers auto blacklisting sites or domain alias servers. It was simple to implement and move on from. Stay tuned. Thanks for the update David. In this particular case we are getting error 550, which generally means that we got put on an RBL blacklist. It might be worth getting a monitor going with MXToolbox so that we can be more proactive. I think you have to pay for some level of service to get realtime monitoring. According to them, arrl.net<http://arrl.net> is not currently on a blacklist. It may take some time for removals to propagate. https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=blacklist%3aarrl.net&run=toolpag... I certainly understand the cost benefit. One of my emails was from N6TV, who is operating his business using that alias. That seems dicey to me, but there you go. There is an implicit expectation of service out there, apparently. My arrl.net address has been fully functional. Getting spotty failure reports from this area. 73, - Dale WA8EFK On 4/18/2022 3:48 PM, Minster, David NA2AA (CEO) wrote:
