Sample contest results database

Access is now available ONLY to officers, directors, vice directors, and a small number of volunteers (CAC members will be added shortly) to a sample of what we will be able to do with contest line scores on the Web site. Go to http://www.arrl.org/members-only/contests/. There you will find preliminary results for the November 2001 CW Sweepstakes. There are 1,268 logs in the database that can be selected and sorted according to a variety of criteria. For example, you can see who made the most contacts on each band, who got a clean sweep, and even how many entrants sent each possible check (the year first licensed). A couple of caveats. This is a work in progress. While the logs have been through the cross-checking process they are not "official" as there may be errors in category, section, etc., that will be corrected prior to publication. Not all of the data fields have been populated; guest operators and affiliated clubs (except paper entries) are not yet shown. There are no band breakdowns for paper entries. Still, it illustrates the possibilities. There's more to come but I thought you would like to see where we are. Suggestions are welcome, of course. 73, Dave Sumner, K1ZZ

Dave - Who do we send suggestions to? I hate to clutter up ODV with a lot of trivia. 73. Jim, W6CF "Sumner, Dave, K1ZZ" wrote:
