18 FEB, 2004 - 1550 CST Hello Mary... I'm very happy to learn that Joe Walsh and Bob Heil will be operating WIAW on March 6 during the ARRL DX Phone Contest. The only downer is they will be wanting to work DX if they are truly in the contest and more than a few continental U.S. and Canadian hams will want to work them. These domestic contacts will not count for a contest score and they could cause a QRM problem. If they are serious about the contest or working DX, they may not want their presence advertised in advance.
