Unless I’m missing something, I thought that this was covered by the IAVP report. Also, the report said that action outside of R1 is not warranted at this time. Director Jairam raises some good questions. However, it seems to me Director Sarratt’s motion addresses the concerns identified in Region 1 and speaks to talking points in Document 5A. As suggested in my report the motion doesn’t ask for formal action at this time. The motion as would authorize, without further Board action, prompt ARRL action at such time as formal support is needed from outside Region 1. Not many members will read the IAVP Report. Adoption of the motion would show the Board is aware of the concerns raised by the French proposal and ARRL is prepared to act as soon needed. 73, Jay, K0QB Sent from my iPad

Good points Jay and Ria. I would not be opposed to a motion on this potential problem. I have been getting several inquires from concerned members across Delta Division on this topic. We also have a similar issue that has cropped up in VK-ZL land as well; hence members are getting a little unsettled over this. In fact, last night at a PBARC meeting three members asked me about the 2m issue in France and Australia.
