[arrl-odv:17347] RE: [arrl-odv:17331] Annual Meeting Travel

Hi All, I just got a reservation from Seattle to Hartford on Delta for $220 round trip for the upcoming January meeting. This is $250 less expensive than my trip back last weekend. BTW, I traveled to ABQ, NM on Tuesday and Wednesday just past. A pilot noted that this was the least traveled Thanksgiving week he has seen in over 20 years. The airports (Alb, St. Lake City, and Portland) were basically deserted. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. 73 Jim K9JF
Airfares are up in this part of the country.
Must be an SFO thing.

Now might be a great time to book that trip to Newington for the annual meeting. With fuel prices dropping like a stone, apparently airfares have also. I can't believe the price I just got on a roundtrip from SFO to BDL: $240. For past meetings in recent memory, it's always been between $400 and $500 for flights at roughly the same days and times.
