[arrl-odv:26672] Eclipse 2017

As I live on the path of the eclipse, our ARES EC has advised us to “shelter in place” and be prepared to operate from home, if activated, except for those who can walk to the EOC. I am 38 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean so I will see the eclipse very early in its path across the country and the two highways two miles from my house in either direction will be packed with cars trying to get out to Lincoln City and if there is a wreck nearby, they may be re-routing them along my road. Most likely I will not be able to go anywhere, even if I wanted to. We have actually been advised to stay home from the 17th until after the eclipse.
