I just heard about this radio series from one of my SM’s who saw the FB posting as well. It looks like the manufacturers are getting smart. All but one of the frequencies listed are in the amateur radio band. They know that interfering with commercial frequencies attracts the attention of the FCC, but much less so when we experience interference. Amateur Radio is a low priority. I see that for some of their radios on Amazon they give an FCC ID for part 95 and RT-22’s are listed as FRS units. The RT-29 are programmable and are not labeled as amateur radio units, for which I assume they need an FCC ID for part 90. That is not listed in the ad, or on the website. So, perhaps a notification to the FCC could justify an easy NAL for them, should they not have certification. But, of course, nothing is that easy…. ‘73 de Jim N2ZZ Director – Roanoke Division Representing ARRL members in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia ARRL – the national association for Amateur Radio Facebook Page: ARRL Roanoke Division Website: www.arrl-roanoke.org <http://www.arrl-roanoke.org/> From: arrl-odv <arrl-odv-bounces@reflector.arrl.org> On Behalf Of James R.
