Jim, I just stopped throwing darts at my Liberman dart board here and read your message and the one from Dave. I must confess that I had been thinking today that it is currently probably not a good thing to have a bill in the house with Lieberman's name on it. I think Dave has fingered the problem. I see from Dan Henderson’s note to legislative action workers that the US House threw us another screwball. They apparently have given S.1755 to the same committee that has done nothing with HR2160. I realize the end of the year is no time to mount a wholesale effort behind one or both bills, but I wonder what you and John Chwat think will be the best strategy to get a bill to the floor of the House – and passed?

The end of the year may be a good time for some of us to visit our Representatives while they are back in their districts so knowing the strategy before the recess begins might be helpful.
