They apparently hired a University of Illinois professor from Carbondale who came out, during the 5 home or 300 device test, took some measurements and refuted the claims of interference from the hams.
Where are the results of these measurements? There are two amateur filings on interference observed at the Cape Girardeau system. One is by a university professor from Texas who went to that trial area at the request of TXU, a Texas utility operator. <http://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/ecfs/retrieve.cgi?native_or_pdf=pdf&id_document=6514683478>http://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/ecfs/retrieve.cgi?native_or_pdf=pdf&id_document=6514683478 http://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/ecfs/retrieve.cgi?native_or_pdf=pdf&id_documen... Dave Sumner and I are finalizing a mailing to hams in the trial areas, so we can elicit accurate reports of info. Paul Rinaldo had drafted the language of the letter. Initially, I had thought of sending it to Emmaus, PA hams, but at this point, with the Cape Girardeau system as large as it is, we may want to also include Cape Girardeau. Do you know of any other hams who have been to the trial area? 73, Ed Hare, W1RFI
