[arrl-odv:33249] Treasurer Request

Board of Directors: The ARRL has many very valuable assets. The most important ones are its members, its volunteers, and its staff. But of course none of those appear on a balance sheet. The biggest asset that does appear is our $37 million investment portfolio. As you know, at the January Board meeting the Board we will be selecting an external Investment Manager. It is critically important that the investment portfolio be efficiently, effectively, and smoothly transferred to the new Investment Manager. With that in mind, I would like to request that the Board retain me as Treasurer for a few months to ensure that transfer is smooth and complete. Specifically, I request that the Board re-elect me as Treasurer for a brief term ending April 30, 2022 and then, immediately after at the meeting, elect the new Treasurer to assume office from May 1 through the rest of the regular term. This will allow me to (1) help ensure a smooth transfer of assets to the new Investment Manager and (2) allow me to work with the new Treasurer to help him hit the ground running on May 1. Thank you for your consideration and hopefully your support. Let me know if you have questions.
