Sales and Marketing Reported by Bob Inderbitzen, NQ1R Jackie Ferreira prepared publication promotions, distributed to members, lapsed members, and guest website users during these days before the Christmas holiday. There were 438 orders received over the Dec 19-20 weekend (vs. 354 during the same weekend last year). Additionally, Jackie prepared emails to help promote the ARRL Visa credit card and AmazonSmile programs. Now Shipping: Small Antennas for Small Spaces, new 2nd Edition. Diane Petrilli reports that a membership campaign mailed on Friday, December 11. The first mailing of 2016 is set to mail January 15. A handful of emails were sent to targeted groups of prospective members-returning 230+ membership applications this month. Holiday-themed emails have also been sent. One campaign, promoting ARRL family membership, was emailed to members where there are likely other radio amateurs in the same household. The Executive Committee has approved the 2016 National Convention program. The convention is being hosted by Orlando HamCation, February 12-14. Dave Sumner will give the keynote address<http://www.arrl.org/news/arrl-ceo-david-sumner-k1zz-to-keynote-arrl-national-convention-banquet> at the National Convention banquet on Saturday, February 13. HamCation has reported that advance ticket sales are excellent. This is their 70th Anniversary show. Diane Petrilli has completed membership materials for the convention, and is preparing badges and polo shirts for the ARRL team. Bob Inderbitzen participated in a meeting with representatives from US Bank to review our marketing and promotion for the ARRL Visa credit card program. ARRL's year to date earnings for the program are ~$36K through October. Diane Middleton has scheduled the annual physical inventory for Monday, January 4. Diane has organized teams, including staff from the warehouse and fulfillment groups, to conduct the inventory counts. The auditors will review the inventory on Tuesday, January 5. No fulfillment will take place during the inventory and audit. Normal shipping should resume on Wednesday, January 6. These were sent to our local Newington printer. The mailing deadline for the section election ballots is Monday, January 4. Many Section Managers have been sending in their final section expense reports for 2015. Leona has been handling these before turning them over to our accounting department so that they may process and mail out the reimbursement checks. Steve Ewald completed work on the Field Organization Reports column for February QST. We were informed of a recent FCC action regarding station W6WBJ. Chuck Skolaut handled questions this past week about antenna zoning, Echolink operation, taking talkies along in carry-on luggage on flights, and overseas operation. Reports of interference to the East Cars Net on 7255 kHz were received and documentation was provided the FCC. Several more complaints were received about an operation on 7200 kHz, 7255 kHz and 3843 kHz. An unidentified pulse type signal was heard on 7004 kHz and 7074 kHz, and our volunteer monitors are checking on it. Chuck also ran one morning code practice run at W1AW.
