[arrl-odv:16674] Re: Radios On Line

Tom I had a discussion just the other day with a friend of mine from work. He had been watching a particular section in the want-ads part of the San Jose Mercury News. (I forget what it was he was looking for) However, we both remarked how thin the want-ads part of the paper was these days. Used to be a whole section of 10-20 pages of want-ads depending on the day of the week and how many ads the car dealers ran. Now, it's just a couple of pages added on to one of the other sections of the newspaper. Craig's list, EBay, etc have really cut into the newspaper's business for those items. Now about all you see are very few ads for private individuals who are selling something. It's mainly car dealers and legal notices. Oh, and people selling Oakland Raiders tickets during the NFL season. Rod At 08:23 PM 4/17/2008, you wrote:
I was surprised to see that we basically only have one page of Ham Ads in the back of QST now. I don't usually look at them but sure remember when there were a lot more!
