[ARRL-ODV:10073] Re: Recall Petition

From a practical viewpoint, the directors have little to worry about here, either.

Bruce has nothing to worry about. Vice directors are not subject to recall. In fact, in the event of a successful recall against the Director the Vice Director becomes Director.

FYI, it looks as though all of us Directors will have a lot more time on our hands provided Tony DiPrato, WA4JQS, gets his wish. Tony says he will circulate a petition to recall me, and is encouraging others throughout the country to do the same for the rest of the Directors so that all "14" of us get booted out. I don't know Tony more than from a passing discussion at a meeting in Cincinnati at which we brought him up to speak, but I'm a bit surprised. Someone else, no, but Tony, yes. Incidentally, some of his Board bashing memos are signed as OO among other things. SM John Meyer, NB4K has taken the initiative to advise Tony he is free to have his own opinions and to take whatever action he thinks appropriate, but not to do it as a League representative . . . or have his appointment withdrawn. Beyond doubt, if Tony succeeds (I doubt it), I will have much more time to chase DX and be with my family. I'm worried! Bruce, obviously you are a great friend of Tony's(I'm sure you support his DXpeditions and own his AlphaDelta products) why don't you talk with him - before you are recalled? HI! 73, Jim W.
