15 FEB 2012 - 1749 CST After much opposition from the GPS industry and GPS users, the NTIA specifically told the FCC in no uncertain terms that LighSquared's proposals to use spectrum adjacent to the GPS allocation would interfere with the GPS system. In spite of the FCC's ongoing love affair with all things broadband, it was finally forced to accept the physical RF facts. Yesterday, the FCC withdrew LightSquared's experimental waiver.
