17 JUL 2007 - 1040 CDT Thanks Dave for letting everyone know about my wired communications outage. FWIW, the City of St. Charles is upgrading the storm water drainage system in this neighborhood. And for the second time this year, a city crew severed a large underground telephone cable that was not marked by the third party AT&T cable locating contractor. As before, a pair of AT&T cable splicing crews worked all night, in the rain, to restore service at around 0700 this morning. Now here is the surprising item. AT&T customer service called us at 8:00 AM to inquire if the restoration of both my POTS and leased DSL lines were satisfactory. =-O Wonders never cease! - Dick, W9GIG
