22 NOV 2006 - 1130 CST I should have brought up this subject two months ago. Hopefully, it's not too late now. Having been travel-hassled by the snow in CT the last couple of Januarys, and noting a decline in the quality of the operation of the Windsor-Locks Marriott, including putting cheaper liquor in a higher priced bottle and charging the higher price; I would like to see a change of location this coming January. :-( I do not believe we incur a significant total cost penalty. Yes, there are travel and room charges for the staff. But this is somewhat offset by cheaper air fares and perhaps a few less nights away from home for the officers, directors, and vice-directors if a more centrally located site is chosen. It does not have to be a tropical location, but it should be a site with good air service and little of a major snow storm. In no particular order, Dallas, Memphis, New Orleans, Phoenix, Tucson, Charleston, and Atlanta come to my mind. If the majority of my fellow directors still want go to the Hartford area in January, can we at least use a different Marriott?
