[arrl-odv:28832] Fwd: Thou Shalt Not QRM

Let’s hope this miscreant doesn’t know that the Justice Department deems fines of such amounts too small to prosecute. https://docs.fcc.gov/public/attachments/DA-19-989A1.pdf

It is a simple fix. We should consider opening dialog with the FCC to allow assessed fine assignment to private collection attorneys who may keep, say 50%, and submit to the government the balance if and when collected if the US attorney will not act or options not to and assigns the claim. Word will get around, there will be outrage by the miscreants who do this, but I’ll bet it works. I do not engage in a collection practice myself, but those lawyer that do as a specialty are persistent and they always seem to get their man (or woman). Even a judgement entered against a so-called judgement free defendant catches up some day with considerable legal interest accrued. This may take some doing, but do we really think our FCC is going to bother, as Dick suggests they will not? Maybe this idea has been raised before, but now is the time. No one wants to be the target of a truly efficient, highly skilled collection law firm, even though they seem not to care about the FCC. Has this idea been raised and dismissed in the past?
