[arrl-odv:33596] Re: Electronic Balloting -- site visit to Election Services Company

Art, And, if embraced, what will be the answer when the members ask why they cannot also vote for Section Managers? I don't think cost is going to be an acceptable response. Based on the consensus of the three of us to move forward, the E&E has recommended that the ARRL execute a three-year contract with ESC to conduct our Division Director elections. This will cover both paper and electronic balloting. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments. 73, Art K0AIZ -- Arthur I. Cost is not acceptable until we want to raise dues to pay for it. Lee, Given the small number of people in Section Manager elections, the cost appears prohibitive compared to paper and postage. That said, my suggestion is to see how well we do with the Division elections. If they go well and if we can get most people off of paper, that may release necessary funds and provide the incentive to take on the Section Manager elections. So let's ask any complaining members to be patient while we take this first step. 73, Art -- Arthur I.
