[arrl-odv:35725] Confidential staff update

As many of you know, Bob, W5OV has had recent surgeries that he's having issues with. These issues have affected him inside and outside the organization. He has decided that the best path is to retire to take care of his medical issues and return to TX where he can be with his kids and grandchildren. This is disappointing for me personally as I have known Bob since high school and expected that we'd be working many more years together. We will be looking for someone with strong management experience who also has strong radiosport credentials to fill his shoes. Any suggestions would be welcome. David

Good guy, good leadership and poise under fire. K1IR? Lots of good mgt skills and he might help us build some bridges with the MA crowd. See what he can do and add IT to his mix. Staff ALWAYS figures that they're next in line. That's a general statement, not an observation from ARRL specifically. 73. This is indeed disappointing as I’ve known Bob a while too. He was great in that position and he leaves some big shoes to fill. He will be missed. 73 David A. Norris, K5UZ Director, Delta Division Sent from my iPhone
