One small correction to Joel's message -- Ms. DeBee's name is Samantha so her email address is samantha.debee@chwatco.com. The best address to use for general communication is arrl@chwatco.com, which will not change as John's staff undergoes the inevitable changes that occur among young Hill professionals. The typo wasn't Joel's -- John Chwat committed it! Janet Worthington has left Chwat & Co. to move back to Seattle,WA to be with her boyfriend. Samatha DeBee has been hired to assume Janet's work at Chwat & Co. Ms. DeBee has Capitol Hill experience having served as Legislative Assistant to former Congressman Joel Hefley (R-CO). She handled issues in the military and environmental areas. Ms. DeBee also has extensive experience in the private sector servicing clients with state government relations interests such as toxics use, land use, climate change, water quality, labeling requirements, food safety, and nutrition issues. She also worked with state legislators, staffs and state government officials. Prior to coming to Washington, D.C. Ms. DeBee worked in the Colorado House Minority Communications Office.
