I think this is a great idea. Thanks Jim. What I like most is that it would demonstrate to FCC and the amateur community that we are in fact doing something to advance communications technology. It would provide a place for true experimenters. Somehow the regulations should encourage experimentation rather than provide more spectrum for today's digital operators. Also, and I am a bit reluctant to bring it up, we should have a band plan in place early on to allow the 56kbit users and voice bandwidth users a chance to coexist within adjacent spectrum.
