[arrl-odv:34885] arrl.org and arrl.net Problems?

There appear to be significant issues with arrl.org and arrl.net that are impacting the service to members. Would it be appropriate for Directors to be apprised of what is happening so that we may correctly respond to member input? I'm considering asking all Southern California Contest Club members who are using addresses like W6XYZ@arrl.net to change to their root addresses. This is likely to give the impression that the League is unable to properly provide this service. Is correction of the problem imminent, or is there some better message for the membership? Thanks. 73, Dick, N6AA

Dick - What significant issues have you heard about? I haven't experienced any issues or heard of any issues in the Central Division. 73, Brent N9BA ________________________________ From: arrl-odv <arrl-odv-bounces@reflector.arrl.org> on behalf of Richard Norton via arrl-odv <arrl-odv@reflector.arrl.org> Sent: Thursday, June 15, 2023 18:34 To: arrl-odv@reflector.arrl.org <arrl-odv@arrl.org> Subject: [arrl-odv:34885] arrl.org and arrl.net Problems? We are not aware of major problems with either dot org or dot net. We ALWAYS have sporadic problems with dot net due to the SPAM the dot net forwarding moves to users. And you know this. We recently had an issue with Google which we were able to resolve. I will reiterate what was said last July: email forwarding is increasingly unreliable. As a dot org user, you have direct access to our post office through various means. That is how you should be accessing your ARRL email. Rather than push back everyone should be reaching out to Steve Berry to take advantage of this. We are working with a vendor who can offer post office access to dot net users to eliminate the need for email forwarding. They can do it for a fraction of the cost. I’ll have an update on that in my A&F CEO report. My problem is anything from gmail to arrl.org is quarantined and I get it two days later in a cryptic message that I sometimes can read down in the text and other times not. Y’all using Gmail, stop it. Rick - K5UR Sent from my iPhone

I was talking to Director Williams this morning about an email issue I had in not receiving mail from him. Which I have still not worked out fully, but he mentioned this thread which I had not seen. I just found it, along with Director Boehners ODV message in my gmail spam box. So something has changed with gmails filters I guess. Perhaps the problem is related Dick? Possibly. We have no control or influence over what an email provider, like Google, does with emails including marking them as SPAM. Fully understand, I was just tossing out an example as it seemed I was having an issue. And now ODV messages are coming in fine. Weird. Mark, HDX On Fri, Jun 16, 2023 at 9:52 AM Minster, David NA2AA (CEO) < dminster@arrl.org> wrote:
