In planning for the show our discussion turned to online ham club meetings and I told him about our club meeting pivoting to online. He asked me if he could be of service to our club by being a guest at our meeting!!! I talked to Bob Gibler, NF5F, and he’s fine speaking next month to make way for Dr. Heil this month. Dr. Heil is an American sound and radio engineer most well known for creating the template for modern rock sound systems. He invented the *Heil* Talk Box in 1973, which was frequently used by musicians such as Peter Frampton, Joe Walsh, Richie Sambora, and is still in use today. He also started a company called Heil Sound that produces some of the finest amateur radio sound equipment in the world. Dr. Heil is an avid amateur (ham) radio operator and hosts the weekly Ham Nation podcast, the most watched & listened to ham radio podcast in the country.
