For the computer types or just those interested in unsolicited email "stuff" I have something to share with you. I recd an interesting email today. Not interesting because of the content but the way it was addressed. I haven't used kb6zv@arrl.org for about 4-5 years. And all the sudden an email turns up with that address. So far as I can tell, the ONLY place the ARRL HQ still has kb6zv@arrl.org is on the distribution list for the electronic "IN-Newsletter."
Rod, I found 12 references going back to about 1994... Example: "What is Amateur Radio? Amateur Radio. You've heard of it. You probably know that Amateur Radio operators are also called "hams". (Nobody knows quite why!) Perhaps you have seen amateur call signs (station identifiers) like W3ABC, KB6ZV, WA2DHF or K1ZZ on auto license plates. But who are these people and what do they do?" <http://private.addcom.de/df1zn/what_is.html> These are all subject to harvesting by spammers. I wish it weren't so, but... 73, Gary KI4LA
