[arrl-odv:23390] ARRL Article on Server Breach

As a Director of the Corporation, I’m not quite sure why the Board doesn’t get an advanced heads-up on news releases of a significant nature—not for editorial purposes, but just as a heads-up. This is the second time I have seen something of high importance on FaceBook rather than on ODV. (The other was the hiring of a new Contest Manager.) http://www.arrl.org/news/arrl-investigating-web-server-breach Doug K4AC

Doug: That is my fault. I should have let the Board know that the story was being posted despite the fact that the Board had been informed of the incident and had the basic facts. 73, Barry J. That's true Barry, but we were also told that it was a confidential matter. As the status changed, we should have been advised. I got a call and didn't know what to say to the member. Not a complaint, things do get missed. jdp From: Shelley, Barry, N1VXY Sent: Tuesday, October 07, 2014 11:27 AM To: Rehman, Doug, K4AC ; arrl-odv Subject: [arrl-odv:23391] Re: ARRL Article on Server Breach Doug: That is my fault.
