The server is running v2.1.9 and needs to be running v2.1.18-1 (or later if there’s another update). AOL, Yahoo, and several other large email providers made a change about a month ago (referred to as DMARC) that has caused significant problems with email lists. Basically the problem stems from the list email appearing to be sent from the individual. AOL (Yahoo/etc.) sees an email that claims to be sent from w3kd@aol.com, but knows that the email didn’t come from the AOL servers so it rejects it. The email list software (Mailman) sees this as a bounced email and now thinks w3kd@aol.com is a bad address and suspends it. Within the latest Mailman control panel is an option that shows the emails as sent by the list server on behalf of the individual.
