The Board established the ARRL Amateur Radio Service to Scouting Award at Minute 28 of its 2013 Annual Meeting. Implementation required first obtaining approval as a Community Organization Award from the BSA National Awards & Recognition Committee. It took a while to get everything in place at BSA's end, but thanks to the dogged determination of Jim Wilson, K5ND everything is now in place for us to announce the award's availability.
