I don't usually share every kind word we receive with the Board but I thought I should do so in this case since the member asked me to. Jim, it looks like Florida's loss is Texas's gain. 73, Dave K1ZZ -----Original Message----- From: Sumner, Dave, K1ZZ To: 'Gil Lineberry ' Sent: 3/16/2002 12:28 PM Subject: RE: Praise Dear Gill, Greetings from Geneva, where I am attending an ITU meeting. Thank you for taking the time to offer some words of praise for the VEC staff. We are very proud of the job they do. They never lose sight of the fact that every application that passes through their hands is important to the individual, or of the fact that the really hard work is done by the field volunteers. Best wishes for a smooth transition to your new home in Texas. I will share your message with the Board and staff. 73, David Sumner, K1ZZ -----Original Message----- From: Gil Lineberry To: k1zz@arrl.org Sent: 3/16/2002 12:29 PM Subject: Praise For the past several years I have served as the VE Liaison for the Orlando Amatuer Radio exam team. This resulted in regular contact with the ARRL VEC office. Each contact was handled by professionally and friendly. Can't ask for anything more! I am moving from Orlando to Texas in the very near future and did not want to leave my VE duties without telling you that Bart Jahnke and his employees are a real credit to the ARRL. First they know their jobs, the rules and how to get things done. They have answered all my questions and given me a lot of guidance. They do this with the large number of volunteer examiners without ever exhibiting any superior attitude. At the same time, when I made a mistake they contacted me and worked with me to correct the situation. I assure you that they have always maintained the highest professional standards. I am writing this to you as they are employees, but I would appreciate it if you share it with any of the league officers you feel would be appropriate. Not to repeat myself but I want to commend you for putting together this friendly, professional team that has the highest standards. Gill Lineberry, N4VOX
