23 SEP, 2003 - 1545 CDT The spam war goes on... ever escalating. Sort of reminds me of the naval arms race that really got going around 1880 and extended all the way to the end of WWII. One government would design a bigger rifled cannon and armor-piercing shell, only to have another government design better steel armor. This process went round and round until the Japanese in WWII had a pair of battleships under construction that had 18" main batteries. They were sunk before they ever saw surface action. The 16" rifles and 36" armor on our WI and NJ class battleships are currently the largest and thickest will probably remain so. Hopefully the spam war will end on a similar note... not being used anymore. 73 - Dick, W9GIG
