[arrl-odv:24215] HR-1301 Post-visit follow-up templates

Good Morning, There are a few more templates I’d like to share with you. The first is a short email that I send to the staffer I meet with as a follow-up to our discussion of HR-1301. The second is what I use to follow up a couple of weeks after the initial contact. In between there may be additional emails as questions and requests for more information occasionally arise. Lastly is a thank you for the support of the Congressman/woman as he/she adds their name to the Bill. As I have no way to email the Member directly, the thank you goes to the staffer (whom I also thank). Again, please feel free to adapt them to best suit your needs. 73 de Mike N2YBB - - - - - - - - - - - - Kaylan, Just a short note to say thanks once again for taking the time to meet with me this past Friday. On behalf of the American Radio Relay League, may I say we hope that Congressman Sires will support us and sign on as a co-sponsor of HR-1301, "The Amateur Radio Parity Act of 2015.” As I mentioned, there are over 400 licensed Amateur Radio operators in New Jersey’s 8th Congressional District. Attached is the listing of these hams from the FCC database, which is public knowledge. Please contact Josh Baggett in Mr. Kinzinger’s office to get Mr. Sires on the Bill. Feel free to call me should you have any questions. Best, Mike - - - - - - - - - - - - Hi Matt, I wanted to touch base with you as a follow-up to our meeting on March 19, 2015 regarding H.R.-1301, “The Amateur Radio Parity Act of 2015.” Have you been able to speak to the Congressman regarding his joining on as a co-sponsor? What can we do to help convince Mr. LoBiondo to add his voice in support of Amateur Radio and our mission of providing communications support to the American people in time of need? Best, Mike - - - - - - - - - - - Ken, Thank you so very much for your support. Please convey our sincerest and deepest thanks to Congressman Joyce for signing on as a co-sponsor of HR-1301. We are very grateful for his continuing support. Again, thank you. My Very Best, Mike
