Because Carter wasn't up to going to the Virginia Tech club Field Day site, which is WAY up in the hills towards the West Virginia state line, we did two separate class 1D operations from home. Conditions resembled a vacuum cleaner (think about it!). The most enjoyable QSO I had was with Vice Director Bullock when we ran into each other on phone. I didn't work much phone, so encountering a familiar voice was quite a surprise.
