And obviously if NCJ and QEX were offered online at no additional cost to the membership, it would be more difficult to sustain the paid subscriptions for them. At 09:33 AM 9/12/2008, Kramer, Harold, WJ1B wrote:

We've also received a tremendous amount of positive feedback about the new QST archive membership benefit.
We are following a step-by-step soft rollout of this new benefit, allowing us to evaluate the effectiveness of our message, each channel, and the resulting membership penetration. The first of those rollout activities was the newscrawl brief. The next one is the ARRL Letter (later today). Etc...
For now, the benefit focuses on the QST archive entirely. There are still many planning considerations to weigh involving member-access to NCJ and QEX that are under discussion.

Harold/WJ1B:
I'm hearing very good feedback about the new QST archive search information available!
I as surprised that the new feature was not mentioned/highlighted anywhere on the main members-only page. http://www.arrl.org/members-only/
Once the news article rolls off the home page, members may not even know the new benefit exists. Is there a PR plan to make sure we really communicate the new member benefit? QST coverage?
Any reason we don't also give full member access to NCJ articles. I notice they are available to me (as a Board member?) but each article is marked in red "(no member access)". Same with QEX?
