Thanks for the update, Jeff. I also heard a lot of grumbling about LoTW wait times following the WPX SSB contest, but most here on the Left coast seem to not have much of an issue with it. (Myself included. My several thousand QSOs loaded up just fine on the Monday evening.) Note that there were several large DXpedtions that occurred simultaneously with WPX SSB, and they also uploaded their logs for several weeks of their operation prior to the contest into LoTW right after the contest. At least one was something like 100,000 QSOs, from what I've read. That would certainly give LoTW something to chew upon for a while! The VARA issue mentioned is an interesting one, as are many of the radio-internet-radio modes, such as Echolink. I'll add the topic to the next PSC meeting agenda. (Note: The Oxford dictionary defines "radio" as "the transmission and reception of electromagnetic waves of radio frequency, especially those carrying sound messages". So, by that definition, radio requires RF!) ;-) 73; Mike W7VO
