Greetings, The Vice President's and I have discussed our Thursday evening session. No doubt there will one or two items the Board will want to informally discuss, however our main topic will be confidentiality and how it applies to our board meetings and the ODV reflector. Some of our newer board members haven't been briefed on what is and is not acceptable to pass on and sadly there are a couple among us that just refuse to respect this matter. This is unfortunate. Let me be very clear - we don't hide things, period. There are, however, times when the nature of the information discussed or decided requires confidentiality. The most apparent one is personnel issues. There are also new laws regarding email and discovery involving legal proceedings that you need to be aware of as well. So, after discussion with the VP's, we have concluded that will be our primary topic for Thursday evening. You will still have an opportunity to bring up any other matter that you may want to discuss as well. IARU Vice President Tim Ellam, VE6SH, will be joining us for the meeting. Tim will present an update on WRC07 preparations. Historically, we have had presentations from visiting officials on Thursday evening but I have decided it would be much better to have Tim's presentation during our formal session on Friday, which will be presented during the report of the Chief Technology Officer. Much of Paul's work involves WRC07 preparations so this slot is appropriate. Looking forward to seeing everyone is a couple of weeks. 73 Joel W5ZN
