[arrl-odv:23171] HR4969 Web Banner Displaced!

II just got home from a weekend operating the 10 GHz & Up Contest and found that, sometime in the last few days, the lead banner on the ARRL Web page is now a promotion of an Arduino book; the HR4969 one has been moved to the #2 position! Why, when we are steering members (and non-members) to the ARRL site in connection with our letter-generation campaign, would we do that? The HR4060 banner should be staring every Web visitor in the face as soon as they access the page. Where are our priorities? Marty N6VI

Hi Marty, The default on the web carousel is that new stuff replaces old stuff which just moves down the chain. We can override it. However, launching a brand new publication is also a priority. How was 10 GHz activity out your way? It seemed a bit down out here compared to last year. Thanks for the fast action on this. Good activity out here. I made just over 90 contacts. Best DX was over 700 km to Mt. Shasta, a new personal DX record and new grid square on 10 GHz. 73, Marty From: arrl-odv [mailto:arrl-odv-bounces@reflector.arrl.org] On Behalf Of Sumner, Dave, K1ZZ Sent: Monday, August 18, 2014 5:31 AM To: Woll, Marty, N6VI Cc: arrl-odv Subject: [arrl-odv:23172] Re: HR4969 Web Banner Displaced!
