Well, not really K1ZZ/6; I will not be operating. But I will be in California starting tomorrow and running through the 27th. Through Sunday is the DX Convention in Visalia. The following week I will take a day off, then head to San Luis Obispo for a Cubesat Workshop that I have been asked to attend by the IARU officers. Builders of Cubesats have a somewhat shaky understanding of radio communication regulations. This, coupled with a somewhat confusing FCC position on the licensing of experimental satellites to operate in amateur bands, makes it important to gain a better understanding of the Cubesat program and perhaps to offer some education in return, although I am not a presenter. On the last day of the workshop, Attila Matas of the ITU Radiocommunication Bureau -- better known to us as OM1AM/HB9IAJ and the President of the International Amateur Radio Club, 4U1ITU -- is on the program to explain the ITU regulations.
