I must apologize for my earlier note which now appears premature, although at the time I wrote it I was reporting the situation verbatim from my conversations with the Earthlink representative who had assured me the problem was resolved. After still seeing delaying on messages to Earthlink this afternoon I called back and the same guy gave me a different story. He now tells me the situation was more than he had initially reported and, in addition to the originally reported problem, it also is a result of the ratio of spam to total messages coming from arrl.net to Earthlink. It exceeds their internal limits and therefore we will continue to see messages delayed. He offered no solution for us except to reduce the amount of spam even though he admitted that their actions were an "imperfect solution" and that they've even made exceptions for other large ISPs who in the past had violated their internal standards. We are trying to kick the problem upstairs at Earthlink to higher authorities (if they'll return phone calls) since we have 2,600 members using Earthlink addresses. Again, I apologize for my earlier message but am royally PO'd at Earthlink for not telling the entire story. Barry
