In June, Mary was notified that Iona Mathias, the wife of the late Dr. Charles Mathias, W8KGD, had passed away and that the assets of the Charles & Iona Mathias Joint Trust would be distributed equally among five charitable organizations. The ARRL was one of the five. Today we received the initial distribution from the Trust: a check for one million dollars. We understand that this represents the bulk of the bequest although there will be one or more additional distributions. The funds are being turned over to Treasurer McCobb and will be added to our endowment. Dave Sumner, K1ZZ
