Although I am a certified old timer, licensed since 1963, my experience in industry and as a computer/software engineering professor make it clear to me that ARRL’s continuing viability depends on its willingness and ability to adapt to changes in technology and society. I won’t rehash all of Howard’s talking points here, but my conversations with him and other ARRL staff in Xenia and Milwaukee have led me to the conclusion that fundamental changes, along the lines of those he has outlined, are essential to the future of ham radio and ARRL. I urge you to take these challenges seriously and work with others in ARRL leadership to seize these opportunities. 73, — Mark Sebern, WA9JMS
