Greetings. Riley Hollingsworth gave us a head's up that FCC Chairman Wheeler, the alleged mastermind behind the plan to savagely slash by 2/3rds the FCC Field offices and RIF half of the field staff, did in response to pressure from Greg Walden's Subcommittee provide on April 2 a letter and a copy of the recommendations of the FCC contractor.Â
Some broadcast engineer buddies of mine kindly provided a copy of what was sent. This will be public soon enough but not too many people have it yet. Copy attached for your reading frustration.Â
Rick,K5UR, did you have some things to say about the FCC? Now might be a good time......
*** Be careful not to "reply all" to the message from Chris or it may go places you don't want it to. (Riley, Keelen) *** Sounds like the consultant the FCC used forgot to evaluate the bloated management at FCC HQ and all of the lawyers involved. Good to see they credit "remote operations" as a selling point. They must have missed some email from W5... :-) I hope we'll give Rep Walden some usedful feedback.
