[ARRL-ODV:10880] Fwd: Webperception

No sooner do I send my Board report than it becomes outdated. Please note the following happy ending to a raw deal on the Bob Schwartz/Webperception fiasco, discussed in the antenna/RFI cases section of my report to the Board. All's well that ends well, I suppose, but I suggested that Bob, WA6JQV, should read, or re-read, "The Trial" by Franz Kafka. I told him he would find it familiar. 73, Chris W3KD

Dear Bob: You won't believe this, but today, with no warning whatsoever, I received a Dismissal with Prejudice from Pinnacle's attorney dismissing Pinnacle's cross complaint against you. This means you are completely out of this case! I'm sending you a copy of the Filed endorsed Dismisal in the mail for your records. I called Matthew Vafidis to find out what prompted this uncharacteristic largesse, and he said that Pinnacle is settling with Webperception so the whole case is being resolved. This means you won't even have to give a deposition or attend trial. Happy Day! Please advise Chris Imlay of the dismissal and thank him again for his help. It's been a pleasure working with you. I only regret that I didn't have an opportunity to meet you face to face! Best of Luck in the future (with no more lawsuits!) I also suggest that you ask your insurance agent if there is any insurance that you can buy that will cover you for these kind of lawsuits so that you won't have to endure a similar withdrawal of coverage again. And get his/her representation in writing. Ann
