25 MAR 2007 - 1440 CDT At this point, I have received and responded to 16 email messages on the most recent RM-11306 flap. A few of them resulted in some further message exchanges. One of these was from an ARRL member who was quite nasty in his first message and has now apologized and admitted he had been influenced by the anti-ARRL venom spewing forth on a QRZ.COM reflector. I'm guessing it's the same reflector Joel mentioned in his "perspective" message to us. I have two observations about all of this: 1. It was an over-reaction to what amounts to a clerical error that now appears to be rectified. Perhaps an earlier web posting might have reduced the email volume a bit. But I think we would still have received the really nasty messages anyway. :-| 2.
