As most of you know, last July ARRL Awards Branch Manager Bill Moore, NC1L was in a one-car auto accident that caused him serious injury and landed him in the hospital. Last night Pete Chamalian, W1RM posted the following after his most recent visit with Bill: Jan 17 at 6:48 PM I visited Bill this afternoon at Alexandria Manor, 55 Tunxis Avenue, Bloomfield, CT. He asked me to share the following with everyone: After much consultation with my family and as a result of the life changing accident I suffered in July, 2014, I have decided to relinquish my position as Awards Manager at ARRL Hq and focus my full effort on physical therapy. I have enjoyed my years at ARRL and the countless friends I have made within the ham radio community. I hope to maintain contact as best I can vie email and hope someday I will be able to get back on the bands. Because of the nature of his injuries the 2015-16 Plan did not envision Bill's return to work.
