From: "Corey, Michael, KI1U" <KI1U@arrl.org<mailto:KI1U@arrl.org>> Date: October 13, 2017 at 8:44:26 PM Subject: Reporting in Friday 13 Oct Day 8 – 10/13/17 · We received word this morning that a mission assignment has been issued for 10 SHARES operators (who are also Amateurs) to deploy to Puerto Rico, the first will be arriving today. The team here will work with ESF-2 Communications leadership to find appropriate assignments for them. They will be assigned to Oscar for coordination. · The plan to transfer Amateur Radio support for the Red Cross to the Puerto Rico section is moving forward. ARRL’s Force of 50 team will be ending their mission next week. ARRL equipment assigned to the Red Cross is being moved to the EOC for reassignment or return to ARRL HQ. · I am working with ARRL Puerto Rico Section Manager Oscar Resto, KP4RF, to identify key Amateur Radio stations on the island where Ham Aid kits can be deployed. We are looking at deploying five and return the rest to HQ. · The issue with the volunteer who set up a Go Fund Me page has been resolved. · Overnight there was a fire on Culebra, fuel fumes ignited during a generator refuel. One person suffered severe burns over 30% of her body. The only two at the hospital at the time was a doctor and Jeremy, NS0S from our team (he’s also a fire fighter). She was treated there, Jeremy had to assist the doctor, and was transported to Centro Medico on the main island.
