Some of you knew Hugh Turnbull W3ABC, Honorary Vice President, when he was a member of the Board. He retired as 3rd VP in January, 2000, if I recall correctly. Hugh will be 93 years old on November 1. I have just exchanged e-mails with Hugh's daughter, Karen, to find out how people can send him a card or note. Karen suggests that cards and notes be sent to her home address so she can hand-carry them to him at the nearby facility where he lives. That way, nothing gets lost. Karen says, "Actually, if anyone wants to talk to him, they just have to call the front desk at 410-721-1000 and ask to be connected to his room. We've found that the best way to make sure he's by his phone is to call him around 11 AM. It helps if someone emails me, and I alert the staff to make sure the phone is near his wheelchair."
