[arrl-odv:31216] MD Docket 20-270 questions

I gave a presentation to a New England radio club last night about the importance of filing comments in response to 20-270 and fielded two interesting questions. I hope that I can draw from the collective wisdom of the group to formulate responses. 1. Is the League reaching out to our served agencies (i.e., Red Cross, Salvation Army, NWS) at a national level to file comments and advocate on our behalf? 2. One gentleman informed me that he had filed his comments "some time ago" when news about the $50 fee first came out. Does anyone know if his comments will be formally considered if they are received in advance of the NPRM's October 15 official publication date in the Federal Register? Thanks and 73, Phil Temples, K9HI Vice Director New England Division -- Phil Temples <phil@temples.com>

Hi Phil, WRT # 2, so long as the comments were filed in correct docket (20-270), they will be considered. WRT #1, From my viewpoint, comments from any such organization that include a lucid explanation of how hams volunteer help to the organization are always most welcome. 73, Dave David R.
