Ladies & Gentlemen: I have attached copies of Diane Petrilli's research on membership trends derived from the ReadEx Research work. I have included both the Friday morning presentation slide deck (Presentation_final.pdf) as well as an earlier presentation made to me, which is a bit more technical in its detail (2016 - Target Markets...pdf). The last includes some possible solutions formulated at the time it was created in the late fall. I've asked the team to perform a comprehensive re-think on solutions and bring together a broader constituency for the recommendations part. In July, you will hear more about it. Also included is the 40-page log of telephone and email surveys of discontinued membership contacts performed over the last two months. We have never, to my knowledge, actually reached out in a disciplined way to speak with our members departing. This is our first attempt, and although the survey methods don't meet the usual standards of market research (bias adjustment, test questions, indirect solicitation of a response, stress testing, etc.) it's not bad.
