[arrl-odv:32926] Re: ARRL Scholarships - call to action!

David and all, Thank you for providing the draft of the scholarship announcement for review. I would like to recommend that the language used in the announcement be consistent with the language found on the ARRL Scholarship web page with respect to eligibility requirements. Eligibility Requirements as stated on the ARRL Scholarship webpage: All applicants must be active, FCC-licensed amateur radio operators……….. Eligibility Requirements as stated in the draft announcement: Since only amateur radio operator students may apply …………… I’m not sure that it would be clear, nor easily understood as to who is an “amateur radio operator student”. I hope that you find this comment helpful. 73, Dave, K2DP Dave Propper, K2DP ARRL Midwest Division Vice Director 314-225-5167 k2dp@arrl.org From: arrl-odv <arrl-odv-bounces@reflector.arrl.org<mailto:arrl-odv-bounces@reflector.arrl.org>> on behalf of "Minster, David NA2AA (CEO)" <dminster@arrl.org<mailto:dminster@arrl.org>> Date: Friday, October 29, 2021 at 3:23 PM To: arrl-odv <arrl-odv@arrl.org<mailto:arrl-odv@arrl.org>> Cc: "Woolweaver, David, K5RAV" <drwoolweaver@yahoo.com<mailto:drwoolweaver@yahoo.com>> Subject: [arrl-odv:32924] ARRL Scholarships - call to action! It is that time of year when students are looking at school applications – and possible scholarships! This will be the biggest year ever for our ARRL Foundation Scholarship program. Getting the word out to your Division is critical to creating awareness of this wonderful opportunity for students. Attached is a note from Dr. Woolweaver. Please take a moment to read it and determine how you can help get the word out. Very 73. David PS – a note will be going out to SMs
