Bill Cross was indeed there on Saturday. He had a forum and at the beginning of the forum, he mentioned that he was not officially there as an FCC staffer. About 20 people were in attendance for Cross's forum and the most contentious question asked of Mr. Cross was, if announcing on a repeater that highway traffic was very heavy to no one in particular. The individual asking the question is an amateur trying his darndest to become a "head cheese ball" in his state's RACES. This hamfest ran for two days and to steal a phrase from Tom W3TOM, "You could feel the love!" Membership sales were brisk - the MDC Section staff even sold a life membership this morning! This year's attendance at Timonium looked to be much larger than last year or even the previous year. Hugh W3ABC stopped in this morning to visit and it was good to see him. - Bill N3LLR From: Kay Craigie [mailto:n3kn@verizon.net] Sent: Sunday, April 01, 2007 6:57 PM To: arrl-odv Subject: RE: What are you hearing I am surprised to hear that Bill Cross did a forum at Timonium and wonder if the gag order at FCC has been lifted?
